Vulnerability assessment and Business Impact Analysis exercise

You are hired by Advanced Medicos Limited (AML), a healthcare product sell company, as a cybersecurity consultant to help in security management and to address the contemporary and emerging risks from the cyber threats the company is facing. AML is providing a platform for Australian customers to sell their product online. The vision of the company is to be among the top 5 nation-wide. The board from the advice by Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) has concluded that they should get to point that the key services such as web portal should be able to recover from major incidents in less than 20 minutes while other services can be up and running in less than 1 hour. In case of a disaster, they should be able to have the Web portal and payroll system fully functional in less than 2 days.

The company is a new company which is growing rapidly. While the company uses its database server to store the information of its customers’ private data, credit card info, etc. it has a poordesigned network with a low level of security. As the company is responsible for the privacy and the security of customer personal info, credit card details, the security of payment transactions, etc. they have decided to improve their information security. Therefore, they have hired you to do the following task:

Vulnerability assessment and Business Impact Analysis (BIA) exercise: 1. Perform vulnerability assessment and testing to assess a fictional business information system.

2. Perform BIA in the given scenario. 3. Communicate the results to the management.

Existing IT infrastructure of AML:

  • Office 365 Emails Hosting
  • 2 Web server providing web services and payment options
  • A physical database server storing customer information
  • DHCP and DNS servers
  • Servers located in a server room accessible by all staff
  • There is no virtual/cloud storage
  • The backup files are stored on a single computer connected to the internal network
  • Two 24-port Cisco Catalyst switches (1Gbps ports)
  • Switches are access layer switches
  • ADSL router
  • 40 PCs with outdated antivirus
  • The operating systems used in the company are Windows 2012 server and Windows 10
  • Windows Firewalls are on
  • No security configuration on routers and switches
  • Telnet connection is used by IT people to remotely check the configuration of the network devices. Therefore, there is no encryption in remote access.
  • Two wireless access points
  • Wireless security is WPA
  • 10 Voice over IP phones
  • Servers located in a server room accessible by all staff
  • There is no virtual/cloud storage
  • The backup files are stored on a single computer connected to the internal network
  • There are 40 staff including three IT people (IT staff are responsible to look after internet connection, network devices, Wi-Fi, Voice over IP service, LAN, computers, servers, hardware and software, and video conference facilities).
  • All staff and equipment are on a single floor.
  • The roles and responsibilities of people who are responsible for information security management are not clear and they are not documented. All IT staff help in information security management.

For this assignment, you need to write a report to the CEO of the company and answer a number of questions. You should also identify assets, perform risk assessment, and propose solutions to mitigate risks.

This assignment has several group questions. Therefore, you should make groups of two members in each. In each question, there are three roles, and each team member should choose one role and answer its question. It is the group decision to decide about the roles. Students need to submit all answers from their team, and they should mention the name of the student who answered each question.

Assignment guideline Task 1: Penetration testing

1.1 Individual:

  1. Penetration testing involves different phases to test the level of security in a company. Do some research and explain when you are allowed to perform penetration testing against a company. What are the ethical hazards associated with penetration testing? You should discuss the possible ethical issues that should be taken into consideration in the test.
  2. Critically discuss the purpose of cybersecurity penetration testing and how it can help to mitigate security risks against the company assets? iii. Compare and contrast the three types of pentesting (i.e., blackbox, greybox and whitebox) testing tools useful for vulnerability/port scanning.

iv. Explain in details the Reconnaissance phase of penetration testing. Do some research and propose at least three resources which can be used to collect information in Reconnaissance.

1.2 Group: Penetration testing is associated with legal issues which should be taken into consideration before performing the test. You have been asked to perform penetration testing for the AML company and discuss critically the following:

(This group task should be answered in a group of two students. Each student is responsible to choose and work on one role.)

Role 1:

  1. Analyse the output information that you receive from a well-known scanner, Nmap. For this question, you are strongly encouraged to watch a recording that has been posted guiding you in this task. You should add a screenshot of the scan results in your submission.
  2. Critically discuss how Wireshark software can be used in penetration testing to capture information about the company’s traffic. For this question, you can install Wireshark on your own laptop/pc (https://www.wireshark.org/download.html). Open a browser in your computer and capture TCP and HTTP traffic. Explain what types of information you have obtained from Wireshark. You should add a screenshot of the output.

Role 2:

  1. Do some research and critically discuss how fuzzing tools can help to test a newly developed application. Explain three types of software vulnerabilities detectable by Fuzzing tools. You also need to provide three examples of Fuzzing tools and compare their major functions
  2. AML has a website providing online services to its customers. Explain at least two types of potential attacks against the website with proper justification. For this question, you should also provide solutions which can be used to mitigate the risks of these threats.

1.3 Individual: Explain how the following cyber-attacks might affect the business operations of AML. Provide a cost effective detective/preventative methods to be used in AML to mitigate the risks of these security threats?

  • DDoS
  • Social engineering o Phishing o Rootkit o Ransomware

Task 2: Secure Systems / Networks / Applications

2.1 Individual: Discuss two different types of VPN implementation in AML business context. Compare and contrast between IPsec, SSL and SSH protocols. Which of the following remote access control protocols is more secure and why?

  • Telnet
  • SSH

2.2 Group: This group question should be answered in a group of two students. Each student is responsible to choose one role and answer its question.

Role1:

Explain which security measures (including hardware and software) you intend to implement in AML company to mitigate existing risks (a firewall and an IDS are examples of security measures). For this question, you should submit a logical topology of your proposed network design. The design should show how the security measures are connected to the company’s network.

In your network design, the servers should be publicly available to external users. Therefore, the servers’ zone should be separate from the internal network and computers.

Role 2:

The company has a low level of wireless security. Write about 300 words about wireless vulnerabilities in the company network and propose the methods which can address these vulnerabilities in AML Company.

Task 3 (individual): Managing personnel security

Social engineering is a security attack which is easy to perform. Due to the low level of employee awareness of IT and cybersecurity, it is important to find efficient methods to mitigate the risk of social engineering attacks. For this question, you should explain at least three common methods to perform social engineering attacks in penetration testing. Discuss critically how they can mitigate this risk?

Task 4 (individual): Business Impact Analysis (BIA)

4.1 Perform BIA for AML: For this question, you should provide the following information:

  • Do some research and explain the definition of Business Impact Analysis (BIA).
  • You have proposed several controls in Assignment 2. For this question, you should initially perform BIA for AML before implementing the controls. Then, in the second step, perform BIA analysis after implementing the controls and explain whether the controls are enough and effective.

4.2 Based on Australian Cybercrime Legislation, what are different forms of online fraud that might happen to AML company? Discuss your answer.

International Business and Management

The environment for doing business is constantly changing with the change in the society. The needs and demands of the consumers along with their expectation from the business companies has also been different from the couple of decades before. Therefore, to tackle with such changes in the environment, many profit-oriented corporations have adapted various strategies in order to survive in the competitive business world. Among all those various strategies is the integration of Corporate Social Responsibility into their business model. There is also unique interdependence between the business and the society. It is because business requires stable society and good environment with empowered workforce and the people in the society gets their needs and demands fulfilled by the services, goods and products from the business companies. This points out that a socially responsible company which helps the society and wins the heart of the consumer has more chances of doing a good business. The concept of CSR is such that the companies should give back the benefits back to the consumers and the stakeholders. Though the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility has been developed for the global sustainable development in terms of both the company and the society there is very less evidence of its real impact on the overall level. This can be due the very limited amount of study on the impact of CSR activities. Therefore, With the help of this research we will be able to understand the impact of CSR activities on the perception that the consumer has towards the business companies from which they are either buying the product or using some kind of service.

Every individual, community or be it business corporations, have certain responsibility towards their society. Such ethical behavior of the business companies that urges them to help is called Corporate Social Responsibility. In today’s world, corporations are not only limited to make the profits of their own but are also expected to do some charity and make some difference in the society and the environment (Lindgreen, A. & Swaen, V. 2010). Some scholars also believe that CSR activities are the behaviors that impact on building up the brand (Chomvilailuk and Butcher, 2010; Hoeffler and Keller, 2002; Roll, 2006). In the present context many corporations are arranging CSR programs in their business just to gain positive attitudes among the consumers by changing their perceptions and behaviors through the social work. Involvement in CSR activities is prevalent in various types of business and industries in many countries. CSR has been more important in present days due to the scandal that are linked to dangerous products, services, corruption, involvement in politics and so on. Those scandals of business companies showed the irresponsible behavior of theirs. In order to correct their mistake those companies are conducting the activities that attract the general people and make them like the brand and the business companies.(“LINKING CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY WITH REPUTATION AND BRAND OF THE FIRM – ProQuest,” n.d.)

Though there has been growing interest in the CSR and the reputation of corporates there is very less systematic study and research that unveils the link between them. And the result from existing researches and study proves contradictory views. It is very difficult to know whether there is direct relationship between the CSR activities with the brand image or not. A seminal empirical study conducted by Fombrun and Shanley provides some evidence that social responsiveness which was measured by the charity and donations made by the corporate was positively linked with the reputation of the corporate. The study also found that the effect of social performance varies with the sectors and even within the sectors the types of social performance by the corporates. Along with this Williams and Barrett argue that the charitable providing of the corporates can also help in restoring the firm’s reputation after if they have committed any illegal activities. These two arguments made by different scholars directs us to think about the strength of appropriate CSR activities in perceiving the brand image and reputation of business companies and corporate.

On the other side there are few researchers who are suggesting that CSR activities have massive impact and influence on several factors such as choice in buying, brand selection as well as recommendation and brand loyalty. Although this seems to push the idea that the CSR has positive impact on the brand image but there are other groups of scholars with the ideas and researches that indicate that there is no any direct relationship between the CSRF activities and the brand image. some even claim that there is no any relevance in the CSR and consumer’s decision (Anon, n.d.).

For any company, brand image is the overall assessment in the mind of people, and it is the image of the corporate or the company in the mind of the people. Since the image is a kind of idea therefore it comes from a process through experiences and feelings that are obtained from the memory and mental image about the company (Aiden&Ozer, 2005). Aaker has defined brand image as the set of associations that are organized in meaningful way. Brand image is also responsible for reflecting the performance of the company through the person’s memory. Brand image is often considered as the constellation of ideas and pictures in the minds of people that reflects the knowledge and attitudes towards the brand. Good brand image can lead to the brand loyalty, perceived quality, brand awareness, and brand awareness. From all the definitions, it is clear that brand image is subjective rather than objective concept formed in the mindset of the people. Though it is the product that initiates the purchase but the brand image also plays significant role in their buying behavior (Arslan and Phil, 2014) Hence, it is important that the company leaves a good imprint the mind of people.

Any company which is committed to development in economy; has good ethical considerations; constantly helps the employees and their families; supports non-profit groups and takes care of the needs of the society has better image in the minds of the people (Esmaeilpour and Barjoei, 2016).

But as business companies have started using CSR as a strategy in their business some researchers are finding the drawbacks of it. According to university of Chicago’s John A. List, though CSR activities encourages good employees to join the company and the quality in the production might also increase but sometimes CSR can backfire, and companies must learn ways to manage it. Though there have been debates among the scientist about the relationship between the corporate responsibility and the reputation of the company but it cannot be denied that CSR is a major tool of the enterprise to increase the sustainable development in the society (Balmer and Geyser, 2003, 2006).

Time and again there have been deep studies regarding the corporate reputation and the image of the company. The research related to this issue has been done regarding marketing, branding and communication and there are no strong empirical and theoretical proof about the relationship between the CSR and the brand image. The direct impact of corporate social activities on the perception of the consumer about the company has not been explained which creates a gap to be filled. Hence, this research tries to relate the influence of the CSR activities conducted by the company to develop positive attitude among the consumer.

A survey was conducted in Taiwan to find out the similar relation that this research is trying to find that is whether the difference in level of understanding about the CSR makes difference in the relationship among the brand image, brand attitude, purchasing intension as well. The participants were given the valid questionnaire and the results found that the image on brand attitude was very strong among the CSR aware one than less and completely not aware one(Wu, 2015).

In today’s business world CSR is very important but it is also necessary for companies to have good sense of choosing CSR activities. For the large food companies like Mac Donald’s CSR is found to have relevance and has great impact and the high dependence on economy, society and the environment.

The most known and leading paradigm of social responsibility in the felid of management was developed by a researcher named Caroll which is called a paradigm of corporate social responsibility. It encompassed wide range of economic, legal, ethical and philanthropic activities of business in any given time without any hierarchical order (Caroll,1997). Mohr’s study also became important reference for defining and classifying CSR. But unlike present time, in the past environmental CSR was given more priority in the study than these two types because environmental CSR was more visible and feasible (Tingchi Liu et al., 2014).

The findings and the results of the researches and studies done previously has provided certain academic perspectives. But there are gaps than needs to be filled. For example, the earlier researches were using limited dimensions to find out about the CSR. Mostly focused on ethical and philanthropic corporate responsibilities (Liu et al., 2019). Some study was done to find the impact on financial sector of banks and food companies. There is also not enough literature to show the impact of CSR on the psychology and understanding of the consumer about the company. Not many of the researchers have found the impact on multidimensions. Thus, this research tries to fill the gab about the influence of branding and customer responses to CSR activities. Company’s CSR activities create intangible asset in terms of reputation and image which are difficult to copy. Such activities help the company to increase its financial condition and helps in its overall sustainable development (Louis et al., 2019).

Nepal is a developing country and like in many other countries there are several national and international companies doing business. Several companies are making huge profits without taking any serious concern for the society and the environment. They are creating messy and disordered business environment in the country. Big national and international companies taking the benefit of political instability. Some companies have CSR mentioned in their annual plan, but they are not performed and very few of them are taking their corporate social responsibility and helping the society in different forms. Some are contributing in the health sector, some on education. For the country like Nepal where most of the people are under privileged and deprived of many of their need smallest of the help from those big companies could mean anything.

There has been rise in interest about CSR across the globe because CSR activities are seen to be adopted in many corporate in developed as well as developing countries. So, is in the case of Chaudhary Group (CG). CG has taken CSR initiatives in order to make difference in the society.

Abstract

Natural disaster management is a fundamental act in the US both in economic, social-cultural, and political dimensions. Researchers and policymakers record that due to Hurricane Agnes and nuclear accidents in the United States of America, a rise to government participation at local and federal was evidence through the formation of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) (Mener A, 2007). The purpose of this paper is to review and political analysis roles in planning, preparation, and response to a natural disaster.

Introduction

The impact and occurrence of natural disasters are on an administrative capacity. Despite the autonomy of genetic distance relationships with a political standpoint, human political actions display myriad ways in which political intervention leads to planning, preparation, and response to such circumstances beyond one’s control (Cohen C and Weker E, 2008). Political designs and models are vital in disaster control, mitigation, and control over a given geographical jurisdiction and administration capability of political power in natural disasters such as earthquake and hurricane mitigation and monitoring. Despite an extensive literature review on the political contribution in disaster management, there is a need for further research to comprehend planning, preparation, and response to natural disasters from a political perspective.

Planning

Disaster planning is a systematic approach to natural disaster management and control. Politics play myriad roles in planning for natural disaster mitigation and control (Choudhury Z, 2013). Politics shape the systematic planning of natural disaster management prevention, alerts, response, and recovery of the losses. The federal and local government authority plays roles to control natural disaster in various approaches.

Planning of inspection methods and alert preposition are vital in the preparation of the natural disaster mitigation. Administration formulated purposes and means to regulate and control potential natural hazard occurrence. Similarly, in planning to natural disaster counteraction, politics administer routinely monitor measures and precaution in the future presence of non-made made disaster. Furthermore, federal and local authorities participate in disaster planning through installation of automatic and computerized alarms in water disaster or hurricane to ensure timely evacuation of the victims. Moreover, the political setting of a region, accommodate mandate and administration privilege to create rules and regulation in planning to control natural disaster management. For instance, the creation of FEMA to respond to emergencies in managing natural disaster impacts at local and national levels of political environment establish guideline in panning to natural disaster control and mitigation. Planning creates a groundwork for natural disaster mitigation approaches and analysis.

Preparation

In emergency control and management, legislators are at the forefront to formulate policies and regulations for natural disaster mitigations (DeLeo R, 2018). Government institutions and provide a framework for natural disaster preparedness, influencing the participation of non-governmental organizations on the mitigation process. There are various strategies in which politics play roles in Preparation to natural disaster control. Firstly, the provision of policies and regulation by local and federal government establishes a ground plan for natural disaster mitigation. Secondly, astigmatic selection and alertness is a strategy useful for politics intervention and participation in natural disaster mitigation and control. Furthermore, political leadership skills and flexibility establish a significant role in predation to natural disaster control and management. Political perspective is, therefore, fundamental in preparation for natural disaster management in multiple methods; thus, a subject of concern in politics of natural disaster management across the globe.

Response

Response to a natural disaster is an integral segment in disaster management, showing positive response to hurricane cases in the United States of America. For instance, in Texas and Florida’s example of a hurricane, the reports, analysis, and documentation indicates that the response was faster and reliable (Wilson C, Singer P, Creary M and Greer S, 2019). In the provision of safe, credible, and swift response, politics contributes to various systematic approaches to impact natural disaster management. Arousal of the disaster management team is a prominent response strategy to natural disaster control.

Similarly, politics play a role in the identification and examination of the crisis in disaster management. Furthermore, identification of tasks such as alert, financial provision, and practical mechanism are variables of explicit influence from federal and regional governments. The politics role in response to natural disasters is vital since it provides a fundamental segment of recovery and compensation of the victims and resentment t in an en event of deadliest natural disasters.

Conclusion

Despite the absence of a direct correlation between natural disasters and politics, human factors, and involvement in controlling hazards and crises in a natural disaster are a direct influence of the political answerable and implementation. Therefore politics play fundamental roles in planning, preparation, and response to natural disaster occurrence, management, and control. Disaster management is a systematic approach that should simulate and implement methodical political, economic, and social perspectives on risk and natural disaster mitigation and prevention.

Introduction

Then, a SWOT analysis will be given so that LPS can come up with a more effective management strategy. This will be justified using relevant theories and concepts based on journal articles and books. Finally, two core strategic issues will be identified relevant to current situation.

Luna Park Sydney (LPS) has experience in marriage for more than 15 years, where each year exceeds the expectations, objectives and goals of both the company and our customers. When a couple decides to celebrate, they know that our company will do everything possible to make their marriage unforgettable.

LPS offers other value-added services to highlight the burden of the couple. Finding a location to make the most important day of your life is not easy. After looking for a beautiful wedding dress, it will be the one that requires the greatest dedication and, above all, the time. In this context, the event rooms are those that respond to your needs.

It is important to hire a suitable place that is within our budget, place of easy access for the guests or in the desired place watching the sunset or all this in one place, they only have the adaptation of their style and decoration so that their event is a success. Everything said above will be reflected in the price, that is, there will always be a space for each budget.

Luna Park Sydney (LPS) aims to offer services ranging from the park, the lounge, the green room, and additional services suc[ CITATION Enz10 l 3081 ]h as catering, the orchestra and the dance floor to the wedding cake. Enjoy a different environment outdoors.

LPS has seven rooms with a minimum capacity of 80 people and a maximum capacity of 500 people, where they can celebrate their marriages with civilians and religious. Our meeting rooms are today, an excellent alternative for the couple.

Theoretical position

Strategic management

Strategic management is important in an organisation because it acts as a guideline for managers to make the right decisions as well as establish a company’s vision and goal [CITATION Kas15 p 1 t l 3081 ]. Applying the theory of strategic management to LPS, we have

  • Strategic position describes how the company differentiate itself from other event organiser and offer products and services that customers willing to purchase[CITATION Jes16 p 7 t l 3081 ]. LPS has done this by offering unique packages such as discounted rides packages to delegates and wide range of services from technical production to design and theming.
  • Five force model of porter which shows how competitive the industry is through five different sources[CITATION Jes16 p 7 t l 3081 ]. LPS has managed the threats of new entrants and substitutes well with its golden location by the sea close to the famous Harbour Bridge and overlook the Opera House which is hard to obtain.
  • Strategic formulation is the steps of planning strategy for an organisation which is separated into three levels[CITATION Enz10 p 18 t l 3081 ] .In case of LPS, business-level strategy provides directions in order to compete its rivals in the area, Sydney. The functional-level gives more information of operating process to support business-level strategies in terms of resources allocation, budgeting, promoting, etc.

Competitive advantage

Competitive advantage is defined as the foundation for exceptional performance which is often created based on 3 sources: supply, good knowledge of business operation and possession of particular assets or position[CITATION Oma11 p 67 t l 3081 ]

  • Versus Parts Whole

Luna Park is a company that has departments and performs functions. The theory of traditional management holds that functions are defined and do not affect each other. Revenue is seen as a function of the sales department. A decrease in sales is the responsibility of the sales manager, for example. Systemic thinking analyses each function individually, but also in relation to the whole and the environment. A systemic approach to a sales shortfall could lead to the solution of adding personnel to the shipping department and customer service.

  • Cooperation, Not Competition

As a company we have limited resources in time, staffing and financing. Traditional management pits different product lines, departments and functions against each other. The winner, those departments or products that have the best performance, are rewarded with resources. A systemic perspective in business leads to the conclusion that the company is better off if all departments work together rather than in competition with other. The interrelationships between the staff, the departments, senior management, customers and vendors produce patterns of behaviour. The company performance improves when the results of these patterns are analysed, and the optimum solution becomes apparent.

  • The Tree is Part of the Forest

Our business has an impact beyond their immediate reach. The old saying of “can’t see the forest for the trees” is how some business owners look at their company. All they see is their business. Whether recognized, or not, the business is integrated with the culture, the society and the environment. It does not exist alone. The environment and culture affect the business as well.

SWOT analysis

It is important to do SWOT analysis in order to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the selected firm in order to understand how effective is the management strategy of the organisation[CITATION Asg04 p 5 t l 3081 ].

From there, we have conducted a SWOT analysis of LPS:

Strengths: Opportunities
Weaknesses: Threats

Develop strengths to decrease the weaknesses of your business. Determine the strengths of your business will help distinguish the factors that affect the internal functioning and the external environment of your business. (Strenght Speth, 2015). According to Boar (2001), “one should leverage strengths, eliminate weaknesses; exploit opportunities and deflect threats “(28).

Defenders of the SWOT matrix argue that it is flexible, easy to understand and Focused on the change. For companies, seeing opportunities is efficient in time and cost, especially when there are not enough resources to undertake market studies; (Kotler & Armstrong, 2016) to “evaluate alternatives and complex decision situations” (Helms & Nixon, 2010, 216).

Opportunities The opportunity in an organization is a positive factor that will mean the development of the new organization and the creation of a new strategy. For strategic planning in the external environment of a company, we must study all the opportunities for the organization or. We see this in external factors, it is not generated from the company and, if you want something positive, you must have well thought out and well-founded strategies. Despite external factors, an opportunity is an option that a company has to create in a new business, expand the aspects of the company and improve business management.

Weakness of an organisation means here is something in an organisational, which is more dangerous as compare to other aspects. This is a negative and unfavourable characteristic at organisation. It is the situation in which the current capabilities of an organisation are weaker, less effective and efficient as compare to its competitors. (sosyal,2017).

After analysing the SWOT of LPS, we have explored the strengths of Luna Park and with the passage of time has improved and exceeded expectations, this helps us fight against the threats that may occur and keep us vigilant to maintain the business.

Threats are the external factors that potentially cause negative impact on an organisation. By identifying threats and its potential influences on LPS, the impacts can be minimised or eliminated (Speth & Probert, 2015). When the right strategy is applied, threats can be turned into strengths that give the company competitive advantages. The economic situation, country’s political, social trends, changes in technology is some of the external aspects that will cause either threats or opportunities to LPS.

Luna Park – As Luna Park is a excellent source of entertainment for all the age groups.

There are some drawbacks, which make the customers unhappy or unsatisfied.

After every visit, customers would like to give reviews on feedback websites. There are some weaknesses of Luna Park.

Rides –

  • Rides are the main source of entertainment in Luna Park. Also, on the other hand side, it is the biggest weakness of Luna Park as well. As all the rides are working on electricity. If something goes wrong with electricity by any chance, many customers are in danger.
  • More workforces are required to guide riders about safety and OHS.
  • Lack of Special assistance to children for safety

Parking

  • Parking rates are very high near Luna Park. Not everyone can afford this high rate of parking. $18 for 2 hours.
  • As the visitors visiting every day at Luna Park, parking area is undersize, that affects bad on visitors.

Cleanliness –

  • Cleaning can become a problem at Luna Park. Because the crowd is in the Park at all times.
  • Control hygiene around food stands constantly.

We have explored the strengths of Luna Park and with the passage of time has improved and exceeded expectations, this helps us fight against the threats that may occur and keep us vigilant to maintain the business.

Two core strategic issues

Luna Park has its own parking lot that cannot cope with the clientele when a function is very large, this is because many places are used by neighbours, employees or people who go to the amusement park, which makes it a place with expensive prices for the demand that it has.

As a solution, we can say

  • In large events of great importance, you should have valet service
  • Hire transportation service for clients or relatives.
  • Have the services of a driver who picks up some guests at home, as a gesture of courtesy. For example, pick up two elderly people who do not drive and who live far away.
  • Provide the event organizers with transport contacts this option has been used on many occasions for different events to transfer their guests from the place where the marriage ceremony is celebrated, or another event … in Luna Park, which is the place where the event takes place. Luna PARK, L. (n.d.).

Another problem we could detect was the limited space in the backhouse. When there is a small function, the racks can be stacked easily and there are less staff walking, the problem happens when the functions go to over 300 people in the Crystal Ballroom. Many new staff do not stack the racks.

As a solution, we can say

  • Teach new employees to be ordained.
  • Keep order and do not leave lying down for another to order
  • Put everything in the right place and do not leave it in the backhouse.
  • Leave a person in charge to constantly put the glasses or glasses of wine in the rack that corresponds and when there are more than eight full racks send them to wash and store them in the glass room. (parking)

INTRODUCTION

This report will provide information about a new product being launched in the market. Every year, tonnes of new products come into existence and few of them become extremely popular and last for numerous years in the markets. Before launching a product in the market, it is especially important to analyse the necessity of that product among people. It is well said that necessity is the mother of invention, same as with the invention of a new product and service. When, the necessity is recognised, then comes the features and its operational style. (Adam, Mahrous&Kortam, 2017) If something remarkably close substitute is already exist in the market, then it is desirable to analyse the competitive edge of that product. It is the rule of marketing to examine all potential aspects of markets that can affect the life of product and service in the market. These aspects could be internal and external depending on the type of product.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Microwave for cooling will be our product to launch in the market of home appliances. It is a product by MATRIX. It is a small microwave with reverse operations. Instead of heating food, it will cool down the hot food into chill food in minutes or seconds. How often we find it awkward that guest comes at home and there is no chill beer, wine or normal soft drinks. There must be a solution to this problem encountered at our homes. As we have microwaves for heating up food, we must have something to cool down food as well. JUNO microwave for cooling is the new product to provide solution to this necessity.

COMPETITIVE INFORMATION

Competition is natural process which occur between same type of things whether they are living products or non-living products for their survival in the world. Competition encourages companies to provide more better and quality products in markets. It is useful for both companies as well as consumers. (M2 Presswire, 2017) With respect to microwaves, there are thousands of types of microwaves available on shelves of market as well as online. But reverse microwave is completely a new product in the market. There are few products available, which are:

Fregolas: This is US based company which is still waiting for green signals from the food regulatory to launch its reverse microwave. It costs around $1,000.

V-Tex: It cools down the food, but not with electric current. It uses fluid dynamic instead. So, it does not fall in reverse microwave category. (Noble Ant, 2019)

As, we can see there is no big competition to JUNO REVERSE MICROWAVE now. But as we all know, when a new product comes in the market, it no longer remains new and only solo product, there are companies which try harder and launch substitutes in the market sooner or later. So, we can assume that soon there will be substitute available for this product.

There will be another especially important aspect of reverse microwave that will affect its competition to great extent, that will be its cost. Juno reverse microwave is available at $299. Which is extremely hard to be beaten up by any other company.

Environmental Scanning:

Environmental scanning is a tool for collecting, sorting, examining, converting and disposing information about internal and external factors of a company in terms of its survival and competency advantage in the industry. There are some important internal and external factors which affect the productivity of a company. (Helms& Nixon, 2010)

As for JUNO REVERSE MICROWAVE, SWOT examination investigate following viewpoints:

Internal environment

Strength:

The principal quality of this hardware is that it will productive for cooling nourishment and beverages. Moreover, it is a new development in the market. Regardless of whether it is new in the market however it is anything but difficult to utilize. The ‘chiller’ utilizes a thermoelectric cooling motor that twists water around the drink at fast, quickly diminishing the temperature of the can. Therefore, it can ‘quickly cool your beverages, without the utilization of noisy blowers or hurtful synthetic refrigerants.’

Weakness:

The first and the preeminent weakness of this item is it can chill off one item at once. Moreover, the size of this cooling microwave is large when contrasted with little operations. What is more, the cost of this creative innovation is far high when contrasted with ordinary microwaves.

EXTERNAL Environment

OPPORTUNITIES:

There is no substitute available in the market. Therefore, it is the only product of its type. As it is the single product that can be used for cooling eatables and drinks so there is huge potential of its growth.

THREATS:

Imitation is easily occurred thing in the markets, so there are chances to get photocopy product launching soon. Simultaneously, competitors can rise easily as market is full of technology and innovation.

Demand Forecasted:

According to above conversation, it tends to be evaluated that its interest would be on higher side, which can be seen through the surveys of its starting advertisements. Additionally, request is related with following focuses:

. Power proficient

. Capable Material

. Less tedious.

According to client’s audits, interest for this item would be extremely less. Notwithstanding, its utilization would have been had unfavourable impact on showcase. In the beginning, item was in climbed up request. individuals cherished it in its manner due to its assembling, working and specialized use. According to the present circumstance, it tends to be evaluated that individuals would not pick it as their inclination or suggestion. A large portion of the populace requesting their discount who had just arranged however have not gotten it yet due to COVID-19. individuals cannot get their item because of deferred conveyances. As per the examination on reviews, the request of this item can be going down in the market (Juno – Like a Microwave for Cooling, 2020).

Specific Market Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning Statement:

Matrix utilized crowdfunding stage Indiegogo to offer the gadget for pre-deal and has made over £100,000 in the initial not many days since the crusade went live. Costs extending from £153 for a solitary unit focused on ‘prompt riser purchasers’, up to £7,600 for retailers hoping to purchase 50 Juno chillers in one go. Juno can likewise be utilized to make ‘frosted’ renditions of hot beverages, for example, tea or espresso. However, the last boxes will be produced using hardened steel and high evaluation plastics, as per the organization. They will likewise highlight a LED light to tell clients when their beverage is prepared. Meng He, VP of items for Juno, told the BBC that Juno could be utilized to supplant smaller than normal bars in lodgings and is substantially more vitality effective than an ice chest. It is at prototype stage and can just cool each standard soda can in turn, yet designers would like to have a business rendition accessible soon (Morrison, 2020).

Conclusion:

As the compartment itself is kept still, the substance will be prepared to drink when it comes out of the machine and will not ‘bubble up’ and, as per Matrix. A 12 oz container of brew or soft drink will chill in about a moment, as per designers, and a 25oz suppress of white wine will take to five minutes to chill to the suggested 50 degrees Fahrenheit. The final boxes will be produced using tempered steel and high evaluation plastics, as per the organization. Not all things need to be a piece of the web of things, there are different viewpoints we acknowledge about the Juno other than its science. Therefore, the machine has no touchscreen, no application, no Wi-Fi. This is an aftereffect of warm designing and material science, it is unadulterated power based, there is no natural mischief. The Juno will accompany custom tumblers, which will probably appear as though your standard travel mugs. It could even prompt bigger scope proficient fridges. We will check whether the Juno, or different gadgets, will take us there.

The Nurse Leader as Knowledge Worker

Assignment: The Nurse Leader as Knowledge Worker
The term “knowledge worker” was first coined by management consultant and author Peter Drucker in his book, The Landmarks of Tomorrow (1959). Drucker defined knowledge workers as high-level workers who apply theoretical and analytical knowledge, acquired through formal training, to develop products and services. Does this sound familiar?

Nurses are very much knowledge workers. What has changed since Drucker’s time are the ways that knowledge can be acquired. The volume of data that can now be generated and the tools used to access this data have evolved significantly in recent years and helped healthcare professionals (among many others) to assume the role of knowledge worker in new and powerful ways.

In this Assignment, you will consider the evolving role of the nurse leader and how this evolution has led nurse leaders to assume the role of knowledge worker. You will prepare a PowerPoint presentation with an infographic (graphic that visually represents information, data, or knowledge. Infographics are intended to present information quickly and clearly.) to educate others on the role of nurse as knowledge worker.

Reference: Drucker, P. (1959). The landmarks of tomorrow. New York, NY: HarperCollins Publishers.
To Prepare:

Review the concepts of informatics as presented in the Resources.
Reflect on the role of a nurse leader as a knowledge worker.
Consider how knowledge may be informed by data that is collected/accessed.
The Assignment:
