assets and resources of a community

A SWOT analysis is a tool used in gathering and identifying assets and resources of a community along with strengths and weaknesses of the environment. A SWOT analysis allows for clear and succinct communication of the four main components of the acronym itself: strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat. This tool provides an organized and systematic way of gathering the information collected from a community, in order to determine the areas of change that are possible and explore new and alternative solutions to issues within a community.

For this Assignment, refer to this week’s readings, paying particular attention to the Examples and Tools sections of the resource SWOT Analysis: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. Then conduct a SWOT analysis of a community in an area or neighborhood that is different from the neighborhood you are focusing on for your Final Project.
