ii. Remove the tangent and curve between points A and B. (“Delete sub-entity” button)

iii. Add a “floating curve (from entity end, radius, length)”: i. Click on the tangent near point A. ii. The curve will go in the counterclockwise direction. iii. Radius: 100’ iv. Curve length: 100’

iv. Add a “free curve fillet (between two entities, radius)”: i. Click on the curve created in the previous part. ii. Click on the red tangent that begins at point B. iii. Curve is less than 180° iv. Reverse curve v. Radius: 100’

Open HW7_P6.dwg in Civil3D. Complete the following tasks. (Filename format: YourLastName_HW7_P6) Click on the Jordan Court alignment and then click on Alignment Properties.

a. Change the design speed to 25 mph.

b. Check the box next to “Use Criteria-based Design”

c. Uncheck the box next to “Use Design Criteria File”

d. Verify that “Use Design Check Set” is checked and select Subdivision.

e. Use grips to increase the radius of the alignment farthest to the south until the yellow shield (warning of violation) disappears.

f. Click on the Jordan Court alignment and then click on Geometry Editor. i. Click alignment grid view. ii. Change the radius of item 3 to 150’ to make the last yellow shield disappear.

Open HW7_P7.dwg in Civil3D. Complete the following tasks. (Filename format: YourLastName_HW7_P7) Click on the Jordan Court alignment and then click on Create Surface Profile.

a. Verify that “Jordan Court” is the alignment and for the surface, select “EG.”

b. Once the profile is created, change the profile name to “Jordan Court EGCL” (Prospector)

c. Create a profile view of the Jordan Court alignment next to the drawing. Page 3 of 3

Open HW7_P8.dwg in Civil3D. Complete the following tasks. (Filename format: YourLastName_HW7_P8) Click on one of the grid lines for the Jordan Court profile view and click on Profile Creation Tools.

a. Name: “Jordan Court FGCL”. Verify that the Profile Style is set to Design Profile and the Profile Label set is set to No Labels.

b. Using the “Draw tangents with curves” button, snap to circle A and then to the rest of the circles in order from left to right.
