De Anza College Harmonize Confucianism and Human Rights Discussion

When were you first aware of the issues affecting indigenous cultures? In the past, for many students, this class was the first time they had heard about this part of our history and were unaware these issues are occurring today. There is a wonderful cultural diversity in all my classes and I appreciate the fact that many of you may not have been taught American history. I would encourage these students to share any information or experience you may have of the indigenous cultures in your own country.
