Your assignment this week is to review one of the case studies assigned to you. The video below will show you how to navigate to the cases (Note:  Click on the link itself to see in a full screen).  Note that most cases have several tabs indicating areas in which they have shown improvement.  You will need to read through all of those tabs to learn about all the areas in which the facility has shown improvement.  Read through your case and reflect on how the organization has met the intent of the award.

  You are to write a 3-5 page paper that includes your reflection and a summary of the case study, highlighting the main outcomes of the implementation.

 Include in your report the answer the following questions:

 

 

1. The HIMSS Value Suite page includes a tab titled “Value STEPS”. The short video below includes a section that demonstrates how to navigate the STEPS tab. Determine what attributes were illustrated in your case study that would indicate the EHR use was patient centered.

 

1. If you were the administrator for this organization, what would your strategy be to build upon what you have done with this project and move your organization to the next level utilizing IT?

 

RUBRIC : DAVIES CASE STUDY

Summary of the case study and reflection	Clearly and concisely identifies and summarizes the important aspects of the case. Reflection indicates high level of thought related to the intent of the award
Identify Value steps and patient centered EHR use	Identifies at least three attributes and links them to examples in the case.  Discusses at a high level how they are related.
Future plans for organization	Identifies three or more ways that the organization can move forward.  Provides a high level of insight into how it would be accomplished.
Context: APA, grammar, word choice, organization, spelling	Paper follows APA format. 2 or fewer content issues  MINIMUM 2 RESOURCES WITH INTEXT CITATIONS
