Critically analyse the environmental health risks associated with disasters and mass gatherings and report on the environmental health principles, management strategies and interdisciplinary approach to managing environmental health risks using a particular case study to guide the discussion.
The report should include (but not necessarily be limited to):
the relevance of disasters/mass gatherings to environmental·. health,
environmental health issues associated with the topic,·.
relevant legal frameworks (·.e.g. relevant domestic laws and
international agreements / arrangements for international disasters;
licensing and local laws for an Australian mass gathering),
the role of environmental health and other professionals, and·.
a relevant case study.·.
The case study must be a real mass gathering or disaster (natural or man-made). You may choose a suitable mass gathering that accommodates more than 10,000 patrons over the event period or a disaster that affected more than 10,000 people. You may integrate the case study into your discussion about the topics identified above, or you can discuss it under a separate heading.
