Existence of God Essay

The first paper is 500 words (~2 pages not counting cover page and bibliography) double spaced in Chicago format, 12pt, new times roman font, 1 inch margins. (There will be a writing workshop.) Your final word count must appear on cover page. It should show clarity of argumentation and that you grasp the material.

Paper #1.  The aim of this paper is to show a basic comprehension of  Anselm’s ontological argument for the existence of god (from the A Passion for Wisdom page 63-64) and you will be expected to explain Guanilo’s “Lost Island” objection to the argument (from lecture and here). YOU WILL BE GRADED BASED ON PAPER FORMAT. In addition to explicating the basic argument, you will be graded based on format and citation in Chicago format (Notes and Bibliography).

You need at least one citation. This citation can be A Passion for Wisdom. You can find Anselm’s ontological proof for the existence of God on page 63-64. Citations require a footnote and a bibliographic entry. Only submit in pdf or .doc formats. Submissions that are unreadable because they are in the wrong format will be considered late.
