History of Arkansas

In Arkansas: A Narrative History, ” The single event most profoundly affecting sixteenth-century Native Americans in Arkansas and the mid-south was the 1539-1543 exploration of the regions by the Spanish conquistador Hernando de Soto.” As you read chapter three, four and five (and possibly refering back to chapter 2) contemplate the following questions:

a) Why did the Spanish have such an affect?

b) Who established the Arkansas Post and why?

c) If this was the start of colonization how did colonization evolve and what was good or bad about it?

Imagine that you are an outsider looking in on the scene playing out in front of you. In the journal entry reflect on what you are seeing. Write a first person account about it. It needs to be at least 12 well constructed paragraphs including an introduction and conclusion. Do you work in a word document and attach the file.
