BCIS 1305 Case Study 2 Consider the large variety of ways to input information to a computer: microphone (voice), touch screen, tablet, and various types of keyboards. Using information that you have gathered from the internet, write a four (4) page paper in which you discuss and compare input devices. In your summary, discuss where the technology is going. In the conclusion, elaborate on which device(s) you would choose to use or own. Use the questions below to help you in your research. Be sure to copy and paste your sources at the end of your Case Study (at least 3 sources). Compare and contrast different types of computer keyboards available currently (within the last two years; size, functionality, ease of use, etc.). Name some devices that have touch screens. Compare and contrast different touch screen devices. (Size, functionality, ease of use, etc.) Name some devices that use voice input. Compare and contrast different voice input devices. When would voice input be useful or necessary? How does a touch screen compare to keyboards and to voice input devices? If it is an Internet source, does the link work? 25 When the Case Study is graded, the grade will be posted in the Gradebook on eCampus, under the Tools Button. SUBMIT ASSIGNMENT Save the file as Your Name Case2 (for example, Joe Smith Case2). Close your file completely. Click the course control button labeled Case Studies. Click on the icon labeled Case Study 2. Click on View/Complete under “Submit your Case Study 2 Here”. In Section 2, Your Files, key the following: In the “File to attach” area click the browse button to locate your file. The “Choose file” window will open. At the “Look in” area, select the arrow and then scroll to find the place your file has been saved to. (i.e. 3 1/2 Floppy, TravelDrive (F.), or desktop). Click on the location that your file was saved to. Select your file from those displayed by clicking on it. The name of the file you selected will appear in the “File Name” area near the bottom of the window. Click on the “Open” button Your file name will appear in the “File to attach” area. 7.
