*Note: It will seem as if this clip does not play completely. No worries, it does. The clip is only about 52 seconds long. For some odd reason it looks as if there is supposed to be more to play but there is not.

After reading this lecture, doing the assigned reading from the book, and viewing the “Large Measure of Control” scene from Citizen Kane, please breakdown the mise-en-scène in this scene. Your focus should be on the topics discussed in this Module especially the size of our protagonist in conjunction with what is being said at the time. Example: Kane takes up a lot of the frame (is big) when they are saying “yada, yada, yada…” THEN ANALYZE WHY YOU THINK THAT’S SO! The analysis is what will earn you the most points

PART 2:

After viewing the entire film, Citizen Kane, please breakdown a scene of your own selection. Any scene you think has enough going on and is worthy of discussion (there are many!). Of course, be sure to start Part 2 of this initial post briefly describing the scene so we all know what scene you’re talking about.

*Remember, we have not yet discussed angles and lighting which are two very big aspects of the photography in Citizen Kane so please limit your analysis to the topics in this Module’s lecture.
