Determine whether or not the following arguments are valid using truth-tables:
1. If evolution were real, then there would be no more monkeys, or if evolution were
real, then we would see humans walk out of the monkey cage at the zoo. Therefore,
evolution is not real.
2. Corey has a dog or a cat. If Corey owns a dog, then there is fur all over the
apartment. If Corey owns a cat, then there is fur all over the apartment. So there
is fur all over the apartment.
3. If Corey has a dog or a cat, then Corey does not have a dog or Corey does not have
a cat. So it is false that Corey has a dog and a cat.
4. It is false that if evolution were real, then there would be no more monkeys. Therefore, evolution is real and there are monkeys.
5. It is false that Corey has a dog and a cat, or Corey has a monkey. Corey does not
have a monkey. Hence, Corey does not have a dog, or Corey does not have a cat.
