Scenario: When Rachel’s mum became ill, it became clear she was struggling to live on her own. While also looking after her young son and her parents – in – law, Rachel began the search for a suitable care home. Since her mum was paying for her own care, Rachel thought it would be easy to find the right home. But the reality was anything but.

2.1 In the this report you must explain the implementation of policies e.g. confidentiality, Every child matters; legislation- Care Act 2014, regulations by Care Quality Commission (CQC) and codes of practice e.g. CQC codes or Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) that are relevant to Rachel finding a care home for her mother and also your own work in health and social care. As a recent graduate trainee employee, you have been requested by your line manager to carry out a research to produce a paper to be used as part of mandatory induction training for new employees. In the first part of the research paper you are requested to explain the theories that underpin health and social care.

3.1 In your research paper explain theories on human growth and development (use Sigmund Erikson, Freud models) managing loss and change, managing stress and behaviour and use examples from own workplace in the context of health and social care. (240 Words)
