I’m working on a film question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
This week’s reading is probably the most dense of the quarter, so the weekly report is also slightly different: less questions and more space for your own questions and reflections.
1. How would you explain Sobchack’s argument for a colleague in class?
2. Sobchack is addressing three different types of media (photography, film, digital) in their embodied types of perception. Summarize briefly what she says about each, mentioning the examples she uses.
3. Your thoughts here! Did Sobchack’s essay remind you of examples of your own experience as spectator? Which ones?
4. Leave here your comments or any specific quote that you didn’t quite understand.
And comment on a student.
