In this paper, I will be discussing the matters that are related to policies attached to criminology and justice. Several journals speak about the criminal justice policies, but in my presentation, I will refer to Criminal Justice Policy Review (CJPR). This journal is in an excellent position to support me in my research since it gives an abroad information in the study of criminal justice policy. It also connects academics to policymakers.

The author of this journal article is David L Myers who is a professor of Criminology at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). He has been serving as the editor of Criminal Justice Review beginning from the year two thousand and five. He got his Ph.D. in the year 1999 from the University of Maryland. He got his interest in research and teaching in the juvenile justice and delinquency, theories in criminology, prevention of crime, criminal justice policy and lastly planning and evaluation. Most of his publications have appeared in criminal justice, Crime and Delinquency, studies in criminal justice, prevention of crime and safety within the community and many more. He is as well the author of Boys among Men, Trying and Sentencing Juveniles as adults and Excluding Violent Youths from Juvenile Court, The effectiveness of Legislative Waiver.

Criminal Justice Policy Review (CJPR) journal is an article published twice in a monthly, which is a material handling a wide range of disciplinary peer-reviewed with its commitment on the criminal justice policy study through the approaches in qualitative, quantitative and mixed methodology. The CJPR journal functions as a connection between policymakers, practitioners, and academics through the publishing of researchers which are sound and that which address the vital matters in the crime and justice and as thoroughly examines the implementation and how effective is the policy of the criminal justice, the programs and lastly the practices. The journal to try to find the liveliness of the disciplines of criminology together with the criminal justice across the United States. The article provides the highest level of academic across the world in all the areas around criminology and the criminal justice. The report appeared to be interdisciplinary and dedicated to the provision of an international opportunity for the critical debate and policy deliberations on the findings of criminology and criminal research. This journal is mostly focusing on the matters facing the prospect of the criminal justice and the provision of evidence on the issues that arise from new analyses.

There has been an extensively held goal of an aggregate diversity in policing, and despite this, organizations of the police have struggled to spread. In previous research, it points out the responsibilities of the member of the public contribution in the process by pointing the impact of mayors and city councils on the spread in the departments of the police.

Looking on the examination of the recommendation of the author in CJPR article focusing majorly on the sex offenders, the registration, and notification to the community on this offenders, the requirements are applied to all sex offenders no matter the type they are. In this manner, the policy treats the offenders as the same group, in the assumption that they demonstrate the same reoffending patterns irrespective of how old the victim is or the crimes nature. The author points out the premise of the similarity fundamental sex offender laws and reviews it in the light of the present experimental evidence.

On the assessment of the author recommendation, there is an emerging conception of restorative justice loosely lies on the various related though different, religious and historical traditions. It is very well known that the efforts to carry on recuperative justice policies in the processes of criminal within the United States have in the recently experienced an upsurge intensely. Moreover, an implementation which is successful and a testing of theory all ought to have a precise theoretical specification, whereby it is something that a restorative justice in the present appears not to be there. The article, in this case, happens to showcase heretofore theoretical issues which are not addressed and gives some directions for the future which for the ones on research and practitioners for them all to perfect the problems and provide a way for tests and implementation. In the article, it also describes the present applications of justice programs that show restoration on justice for offenders which may assist to clarify the theoretical ambiguity (Stolz, 2015).

The article on CJPR encourages the presentation of information, research findings, and comments that look on a crime and widely make a definition of topics related to topics. In this way, qualitative and quantitative issues are both encouraged, in the provision that that stick to the standards of quality scholarship. The article provides to communicate within disciplines in a way to bring out materials of scholarly which are valuable for the sake of knowledge and improvement. The article gives way for criminal justice scholars to deliver their findings in the United States who have the interest in development and enhancement of systems related to public policy on wrongdoings and justice (Mears, Cochran, & Cullen, 2015).
