need help scenario question

Milestone One Guidelines and Rubric.html

Overview

In this milestone, you will apply what you have learned about how communicators get to know global and international target audiences, as well as select two locations that you will continue to use throughout the course to deepen your understanding and application of global communication best practices.

Scenario

NationaliTeas is an online tea shop that’s seen a rise in popularity. The company has grown from a small domestic business with 10,000 customers a month to a global organization that serves 250,000 customers a month with international ties and partnerships. The expansion of the company has resulted in the need for guidelines for communicating with both domestic and international audiences, including employees and the public. Because NationaliTeas has not worked with international locations before, management is unsure of how to approach its messaging in a way that is professional and culturally sensitive.

You have been hired by NationaliTeas to create a global communication plan, which will consist of audience analysis, global communication best practices, and company-specific communication practices that can be used to communicate with internal and external audiences across the globe as the company continues to expand.

Prompt

Before NationaliTeas begins its international expansion campaign, specific target audiences have to be identified for the various communications involved in the campaign. The company also needs to be aware of any potential risks and factors that could have negative implications on different cultures and society so that these can be prevented or addressed as necessary. The CEO of NationaliTeas has asked you to write a report defining these target audiences, risks, and other factors which can be shared with the appropriate employees and members of the organization as needed.

Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:

  • Locations: Select two locations where the company could potentially expand into from the list below. You will continue to use your selected locations throughout the course.
    • Lae, Morobe, Papua New Guinea: Lae is one of the largest cities in Papua New Guinea, a country with roughly 820 languages spoken within its borders. Papua New Guinea is known as the most linguistically diverse country in the world.
    • Kampala, Uganda: Kampala is one of the largest cities in Uganda, a country known for its linguistic diversity. Uganda’s citizens speak an average of 4.3 languages.
    • London, England: London is known for being one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the world.
    • Sacramento, California, United States: Sacramento is one of the most culturally diverse cities in the United States.
  • Target Audiences: Describe your selected target audiences using demographic and psychographic information (age, ethnicity, gender, language, religion, etc.), and explain how this information will be beneficial in creating effective global communications.
  • Risk Assessments: Evaluate the risks for each selected location. Be sure to discuss the various physical, cultural, and environmental risks associated with global expansion of the company.
  • Cultural and Social Factors: Evaluate how cultural and social factors regarding mass media could impact how the company, its messages, and products are received by global audiences, particularly those within the locations the company has chosen to work with.
  • Political and Economic Factors: Evaluate how political and economic factors regarding mass media could impact how the company and products are received by global audiences, particularly those within the locations the company has chosen to work with.

Guidelines for Submission

Submit this assignment as a Word document. Your assignment must be between 350 and 500 words in length and should be supported by course and external resources. Sources should be cited according to APA style.
