OBJECTIVES:
1. Identify a clinical problem on which to perform a LITERATURE Review
2. Have explored the resources for evidence based practice via the Cochrane Database, https://us.cochrane.org/understanding-evidence-based-healthcare-foundation-action
3. Discuss the role of master’s prepared nurses in promoting evidence-based practice.
4. Identify a practice problem (Clinical, educational, or administrative) and assess the need for change.

Think about a problem you are currently encounter in your role as nurse clinician. What is your personal or professional interest in the problem? If you wanted to change this problem, what barriers and facilitators do you see that exist in your agency? THIS PROBLEM WILL SERVE AS THE FOUNDATION FOR THE WORK YOU WILL DO THIS SEMESTER IN SEARCHING FOR AND APPRAISING EVIDENCE TO ANSWER A PRACTICE PROBLEM. This is the beginning of your Problem Background Paper which will be due at the end of module 3.

Write a rough draft of your thoughts you have identified. You should think about it in terms of a PICOT question. It can be clinically, educationally or administratively oriented.
