1. Consider the core value of excellence as described here at Saint Leo. If you were a prospective employer, how would you consider excellence in one’s school work to transfer to excellence in one’s job or profession?

2. Consider the core value of excellence as described here at Saint Leo. Put yourself in the position of being a manager at a Fortune 500 company. You have in hand 20 resumes that reflect that the candidates have the requisite technical skills to do the job. However, you are interested in looking for something that will make one candidate stand out. Given the core value of excellence in particular, how might that value in a person’s life contribute to their job performance, given that they have the basic skills required for the job?

3. Why would an employer be concerned with excellence in a prospective job applicant or a client be concerned when interviewing a prospective professional?
