GREEN PRACTICES COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE OF GREEN PRACTICES FOR COMPANIES Name University RLMT302 Date Professor Stites Abstract All governments around the world are emphasizing saving the environment in order to reduce global warming and other associated problems. Most companies have already invested billions of dollars in order to adopt green practices. This research aims to analyze the advantages of green practices to companies and how they can increase green practices in order to sustain their positive growth trends. Introduction After the Paris Climate change agreement and UN climate summit, there is an accelerated need for green practices whereby companies around the world, especially in developed countries, are focusing on adopting environment-friendly operations. Companies that have adopted green practices have several benefits, which include increasing their competitiveness and higher profits. Green energy focuses on replacing petroleum products with eco-friendly sources of energy, such as solar energy. These primary actions are to regulate harmful practices as much as possible in order to keep the environment healthy. Background of the study In 1990s companies around the world over-depended on fossil fuels to run industrial activities. This meant that petroleum producers would charge high prices, which led to the oil crisis. However, technology has been changing, which has created room for more effective energy sources. The government has also set standards that all companies should meet in order to remain compliant with environmental protection (Ekenga, et al., 2018). Another important factor is that in today’s world, clients possess knowledge on the impact of poor production measures on the environment. This means that companies do not have an option but to conform to green practices in order to remain operational. There are different types of green practices which are being used. It is expensive to set up some of them since it involves changing the current infrastructure in order to set up new systems (Guo et al., 2020). However, most companies have reported increased productivity levels after adopting green practices. Literature Review According to green theory, there are environmental consequences of collective choices in which people take part in; companies have exploited nature for their short-term personal gains without considering the negative impacts of their actions. However, they have been forced to adopt green practices (Mousa & Othman, 2020). Some of the most common green practices which are being carried include reducing emission gases during transportation. Companies are opting to use electric cars instead of over-depending on combustion engines. Solar power energy is also being adopted since it reduces the annual expenses which companies incur. In the US, the federal and state governments are offering tax incentives to companies that adopt solar energy. For companies to save on the cost of operations, most of them are opting to substitute fossil fuels with solar energy. Each company is also expected to monitor the amount of carbon dioxide that it emits into the environment. Solar panels do not emit carbon dioxide, which means that they enable companies to remain compliant to environmental standards (Green et al., 2018). Customers often face problems when it comes to disposing of waste. Companies which accept waste from customers in order to recycle them are likely to get return clients, especially those who care for their environment. Recycles wastes such as plastics enable companies to save on the cost of production since they possess readily available raw materials. Other wastes include cell phones and computers, which are no longer in use. Findings Green practices enable companies to reduce their expenditure when it comes to energy costs since there are low costs for companies that use solar and other renewable sources of energy. They also benefit from tax incentives that have been put in place by the government. It also enables companies to attract new customers and retain loyal customers, especially those who value their environment. Companies that are involved in green practices create a positive impact on society, especially when it comes to reducing the levels of carbon dioxide in the environment. Conclusion There are several benefits of adopting green practices in companies. Companies which take part in green practices are more profitable compared to those which still depend on only practices which are not environment friendly. They have a higher ability to retain and access new markets. They remain compliant with the law, which reduces losses that are related to failure to adhere to the set law. Summary The current world of industrialization is driven by efficiency. Green practices are key when it comes to attaining efficiency. The government has also set standards that each of the companies should achieve. Customers have also been educated on sustainable methods of production and products which keep the environment safe. This means that all companies are under pressure to adopt sustainable production methods in order to sustain their growth. Green practices are the only way to sustain the environment and reduce global warming, which is a problem in the current world. Recommendation There is a need to research the impact of using petroleum products to produce electricity which is used to charge electric cars. This is one of the most controversial areas, and more research should be done on better ways of ensuring that sustainable electricity is produced. This includes finding ways of generating more wind energy and other renewable sources of energy. Research should also be conducted in order to come up with friendly ways for how companies can reduce overdependence on petroleum energy. References: Bick, R., Halsey, E., & Ekenga, C. C. (2018). Industrial waste Landfill Name University RLMT302 Date Professor Stites Industrial waste Landfill As many industries are increasingly developing, much industrial waste is collected from the products they manufacture. Many of these wastes are non-biodegradable and thus form industrial landfills. Industrial waste is harmful, and when dumped in a landfill, it forms a chemical state of brown or dark color. The waste forms Leachate with a high concentration of ammonia, nitrogen, and heavy metals. It has other organic and inorganic polluting substances (Gautam & Kumar, 2021). The Leachate, if not treated, can contaminate water from the ground and the surrounding soil. Treating industrial solid waste materials is crucial to avoid contaminants polluting the environment. This paper highlights issues faced by industrial solid wastes regarding current environmental regulations. The first issue from industrial waste landfill regarding environmental regulation is expensive Leachate treatment. Leachate is a collection of solid waste materials and chemical substances, such as organic and inorganic constituents (Segundo et al., 2021). The concentration of Leachate varies according to the amount of organic and inorganic compounds present. However, the dumpsite for this waste decomposition is harmful to human health. Additionally, when rainwater is directed to the waste environment, the Leachate can be carried away to a different environment causing pollution to diverge. Therefore, the Ozone-based process is the possible solution to treat Leachate (Segundo et al., 2021). The process can either remove the color of the Leachate or disassemble organic compounds constituents in the waste. Another issue is the lack of proper treatment of waste in industrial waste landfill. There are assumptions of treating the less biodegradable wastes from several industries. Leachates with few or moderate organic materials have been left behind without treatment which causes harm to the environment (Martins et al., 2021). Issues have been raised about leaches, and environmental regulations have been set to ensure the treatment of the same. Biological and conventional are some of the processes to treat these Leachates, as well as physiochemical and oxidation processes. Environmental regulations insist that as long as the color and odor of the industrial chemical waste are present, treatment is inevitable from the landfills (Martins et al., 2021). However, it is important to treat waste before its disposing to landfills. A third issue raised concerns the constituents of metals in industrial waste products. The study has shown that metals such as Gold (Au), Copper (Cu), Cobalt (Co), Zinc (Zn), and Chromium (Cr) are highly present in Leachate emission (Krishnan et al., 2021). However, these metals harm human health and the environment due to poor disposal. Nevertheless, the contamination of such metals is harmful to other living beings. Therefore, it is important to concentrate on reusing, recycling and manufacturing to counter the emission of these harmful metals. The waste industries such as medical, petroleum, metal, and battery wastes should major on methods to prevent the emission of such metals. These include chemical, physical, and thermal processes. Firms should hire advanced technologies such as pyrometallurgy and hydrometallurgy to separate industrial waste metals (Krishnan et al., 2021). Discovering metal constituents in the waste materials and inventing ways to extract them is a critical factor industry should employ. The fourth issue is non-biodegradable waste constituents in industrial waste landfills. These types of waste spend more time before decomposing their chemical forms, which adversely affects living things. The-non biodegradable waste finds its way through soil or water and can be consumed by humans without their awareness (Siddiqua et al., 2022). The main issue remains to prevent these wastes from going through the soil and underground water or protecting the waste from the environment. Therefore, it is important to ensure that this kind of waste does not contact human beings or other living beings (Siddiqua et al., 2022). The landfill should be isolated from the surrounding by burying the waste in an engineered way. In summary, exposure to industrial waste has effects on human beings. Improper disposal of waste products affects the environment and human beings. Biodegradable wastes can cause health cases in the surrounding where the presence of metals such as Gold and Copper are harmful when consumed. Non-biodegradable wastes also cause adverse effects when not properly disposed of through an engineered burying of the waste materials. References Gautam, P., & Kumar, S. (2021). CONCERN RELATED TO THE PACKAGING AND PROTECTION Concern Related To the Packaging and Protection Name University RLMT302 Date Professor Stites Outline Abstract Packaging and protection importance Introduction Manufactures and consumers role in packaging and importance Background Environmental and health benefits and challenges faced through packaging and protection Literature Review Study conducted on packaging and protection of goods Findings The rate of literacy on packaging and protection by consumers Conclusion Summary Future Research Recommendation Concern related to the packaging and protection of finished goods throughout their life cycle and those materials’ impact on waste streams. Abstract Packaging is a process of great importance in goods production since it is a technology that helps products in storage, transportation, and sale in the market. Protective packaging is the most important product strategy since it helps secure the product through protection from harm and infections during warehousing and transportation. Packaging helps an easy supply chain by lowering costs, the emergence of e-commerce, and lowering environmental impacts. The finished good’s sustainability is the most concern linked to packaging and protection. Food production packaging, electronic production and hazardous goods like chemicals, gasses, and petroleum packaging, and protection sustainability are areas of great concern throughout their life cycle and impact on the waste stream. Introduction Packaging and protection of goods are of great importance to manufacturers and consumers, especially through the transportation process and preservation against any form of harm or environmental pollution in case of an accident during the shipment. However, manufacturers play a huge role in ensuring that packaging and protection are facilitated in the most effective ad attractive manner. Based on the type and area of production, it is the government agencies’ role to ensure that the packaging and protection strategies used by the manufacturers are the most standard and secure for consumers’ safety and environmental management. Sustaining packaging, protecting against environmental pollution by-products, and facilitating product security is the most important aspect that must be facilitated for future generation and environmental protection. Background Over the years, numerous cases of poor packaging of different products have led to environmental hazards, especially by chemical products, oil spoilage in oceans, and poor food product packaging. It leads to customer health insecurity and environmental pollution by the electronics products that are not recyclable. Based on these factors, different strategies need to be designed by the government-linked with these manufacturers and transportation agencies to ensure that the packaging and protection of different products is done most effectively (Deshwal, 2019). This helps humans and aquatic animals and environmental protection against any form of hazardless throughout their lifecycle and after-use impact. Literature Review Regardless of the production process, packaging and protection are important for all types of goods since it facilitates the protection of product quality, standards, and health matters. Under the packaging policies, every product must comprise health precautions, storage guidance, utilization manner, transportation guidelines, and disposal plan that customers must follow. According to the study, government agencies must guide both policies based on the product content and its utilization purpose. Consumers have yet to be aware of these policies for their products (Groh, 2019). According to the study, where most customers are attracted by the branding of the products failing to consider its healthy packaging security and the product dangers if misused or transported ineffectively. Findings Packaging and protection of goods materials are of less concern to every individual, both the manufacturer and consumer, for most goods since they comprise less or no value. Under this aspect, packaging materials are considered to have a negative impact on the environment, especially materials that are not recyclable. An example is in bays, where the highest rate of pollution is caused by packaging materials affecting the life and future of the oceans and lakes. Proper disposal and protection of the environment is the greatest sustainability challenge faced through packaging materials after product utilization (Rhein, 2020). The challenge is facilitated by a need for knowledge of recycling some packaging materials, leading to an unprotected environment against environmental pollution. Conclusion Packaging and protecting products are essential for different products, and it is the role of the manufacturers and government to ensure that there are different policies to control the process. Ensuring that goods are secure for human consumption, mainly food goods, among other types of goods, are packaged and transported most effectively and securely, as well as storage, is the most important aspect of sustainability. Although controlling environmental pollution caused by some packaging materials is a challenge, improving strategies to manage the waste by the government can help in the sustainability of waste material for the products, especially electronics and packaging materials that are not recyclable. Summary In the manufacturing of goods, packaging must be given the greatest consideration due to transportation and product protection against any form of harm or infection to individuals and the environment. Through effective and standardized packaging, the quality of the products will be maintained through the transportation process and storage. Taking precautions for transportation, storage, utilization and recycling, and disposal of packaging materials and unproductive goods, especially electronics, helps improve the environment quality towards the elimination of environmental pollution towards sustainability of numerous factors in terms of environment and commercial activities. It is important for recycling processes to be facilitated towards improving the utilization of packaging material for future environmental benefits. It is the role of the government to facilitate these factors and policies. Future Research Recommendation With improved technology in terms of packaging and protection of goods, there is usually a need for future studies on how to control the packaging of newly produced products in the market. Different manufacturers produce different types of goods, and suitable research needs to be conducted to ensure that goods are transported securely against any harm. Improvement of packaging and protection of goods needs to be improved against any form of health and standards breach (Kalpana, 2019). The aspect must be facilitated by the government and manufacturers, especially from the counterfeit products that might package their products under other manufacturers’ seals and branding. Write 2 pages with APA style on Making a Layoff Decision.

Advanced layoff planning minimizes the chances of litigation, reduces the negative impacts on employees, decreases company disruptions, and ensures that employees do not lose the trust, respect, and goodwill that they felt towards the company before the layoff (Pfadenhauer, 2009, p. 94). One of the most important steps in a company layoff is deciding selection criteria for the persons to be laid off. The most simple and clear cut method is usually seniority, which is the least likely to result in discrimination claims.

This is the method most demonstrated in this case as these employees have the least seniority. All communications concerning the layoffs must be handled by human resources experts, legal experts, or marketing and communication experts. It is the company’s responsibility to assist the two laid-off employees in order that they avoid feeling demoralized and pushed aside by a company they have likely been loyal to and good employees for a length of time. Top management must provide clear explanations of the layoffs to the employees, and those laid off need an explanation of the procedure and benefits they will receive.

Often there is a severance package involved in large company layoffs (Ritchey and Turner, 2001, p. 35). Survivors of a company layoff often need a lot of information during this time of great insecurity for them. Management must prepare layoff survivors for life after the layoff has occurred.Other ways that should be involved in assisting laid-off employees include actions on the part of management such as acting quickly: do not allow employees the opportunity to speculate or allow rumors to begin circulating in advance (Ly, 2012).

Secondly, managers should know the law and have answers prepared for any questions the laid-off employees are likely to ask. Thirdly, they should not to give employees a false sense of hope and be straightforward with the news and your reasons and justifications. Fourthly, it should be ensured that the managing staff is respectful towards the employees at all times through the latter may lash out and become angry, which is a natural reaction. Finally, to provide support, a company should offer career counseling, letters of recommendation, and also attempt to contact job placement agencies on the employees’ behalf (Ly, 2012).

It is also important that your company maintain the morale of those employees who did not get laid off but may now feel they have reason to feel less secure in their careers. There are three strategies a company should follow to influence morale after company layoffs: anticipate likely employee responses, try to create and identify interventions that will impact employee morale, and ensure that your company monitors and evaluates morale with regularity to determine the impact of actions taken (Kettley, 1995).

You will prepare and submit a term paper on Health Care Administration. Your paper should be a minimum of 1000 words in length. The issue of misalignment worsened with increasing establishment of private healthcare institutions coupled with a high number of citizens without health insurance covers. Out of selfish profit objectives, pricing of services in hospitals remains uneven. Correspondingly, the quality of care varies from one institution to another. As a result, the patient population is thrown into an environment of unprecedented fluctuation in terms of quality and cost of medical services (Wolper, 2010). In order to reduce and even eliminate fragmentation in healthcare, service providers should adopt the use of programs that increase transparency and coordination. One of such programs is Integrated Delivery System (IDS).

Being one of the employees in an institution affected by health care fragmentation, it would be appropriate to initiate a quality improvement project involving the utilization of an integrated delivery system in service provision. The purpose of this project is to create a network of interdisciplinary medical experts using a suitable online interface. Currently, there is limited interaction between independent doctors working within a single healthcare institution (David & Neil, 2006). Usually, personnel involved in the diagnosis of patients act independently and do not participate in subsequent treatment procedures like the prescription of medication or even surgery. Moreover, this issue of limited interaction adversely affects medical personnel working in distinct healthcare institutions. Admittedly, the absence of care coordination between providers leads to problems like under treatment or overtreatment of patients. In this context, the proposed integrated delivery system will merge knowledge and protocols used by institutions sharing the same system. In addition, the system will provide an avenue through which doctors can consult each other and share information regarding a given patient.&nbsp.

Hello, I am looking for someone to write an article on Rape Culture in Society. It needs to be at least 1250 words. The authority has offered a deaf ear since it lets the perpetrators walk off without being prosecuted. For how long will this misbehavior continue? Who can help change society’s perception regarding the already established gender stereotypes?&nbsp. The discussion below is proof that society condones rapes and relies on prevalent norms, attitudes and practices as an excuse.

Marxist analysis brought out an economic perspective of the world’s first rape instance. According to the analysis, a continuous increase in labor force demand to prepare farms gave birth to tribal fights for material things like cattle, land and slaves (Brownmiller 12). During such struggles, women were raped before enslaving men who could not defend their property. Does it mean human beings, creatures assumed to have a high thinking capacity cannot understand the sexual concept? In a real sense, no observations have ever been recorded by zoologists indicating animals in the wild raping each other. It is interesting to note that mating in their case only occurs when the females go on heat (Brownmiller 13). In human beings, when men realized they could force women into having sex, they continued with the act and have always argued against it saying it is not a crime if a woman gives in.

Rape exists and its eradication is very difficult. This is because women are already trained to be victims of rape from when they are children through cultural norms. By teaching them to be submissive to men, they become vulnerable to such acts. Actually, men have always believed that all women are willing to be raped (Brownmiller 313). Due to this misconception, society always finds it difficult to agree if there is rape in the first place since they consider women the cause of it all. Women have been denied a chance to explore their sexual fantasies. For this reason, males become violent due to cultural imbalance. In a real sense, women always have an unsatisfactory fantasy life in relation to sex. For this reason, women are always forced to enjoy it in a manner stimulated by men.

This kind of gender violence in society is due to unclear differentiation of gender alignment between&nbsp.women and men. Rape as a form of violence is something that occurs among people who know each other. Fathers rape their daughters, grandparents rape their grandkids, and family friends rape children.
