Doctors are predicting a spike of influenza, COVID-19 and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) at the start of 2023. In addition, the new XBB.1.5Links to an external site. variant from the northeast of the United States is rapidly spreading globallyLinks to an external site.. Of concern is that XBB.1.5 is more immune-evasive and also better at infectingLinks to an external site.Your friend think that COVID-19 is just the flu on steroids and would leave home without a mask covering their nose and mouth. Your friend shared that facial coverings or vaccination could not stop the spread of the contagion and that it was no worse than the flu. You also saw your friend not social distancing when outside of their home even as COVID-19 variant cases continue to rise.You are very concerned about your friend’s health and wanted to do more to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in your community.
