Your role is to assess the organization, complete a SWOT analysis, and make recommendations based on your knowledge of Non-Profit Management obtained in this course. You will be expected to utilize concepts that have been reviewed in the textbook and course resources. You will not actually be advising the NPO. Assignment Section Non-Profit Consultant Individual Project Rubric Topic Overview Organization Overview · Identify your organization. · What is the mission of this organization? · What type of non-profit organization is it (education, health care, arts-culture-humanities, environment, human services, youth, etc.)? · Why do they exist? What is/are the core problem(s) your organization exists to eradicate or help with? · What programs, services, research, support, etc. do they provide? · Have they stayed true to their mission, vision and values over time? · What other information can you provide about the NPO’s purpose, structure, mission, values and vision? 10 Leadership Who is the Chief Executive or Director? Provide a brief profile. How much do they earn? What is the leadership style of the Chief Executive Director? Provide an explanation, use examples. How well do they articulate their leadership style throughout the organization? Do you think the organization is made up of takers, givers, or matchers? Why? Use examples. What other information can you provide about the NPO’s leadership? Who are the Officers, Directors, Trustees, Board Chair and Key Employees? Evaluate the Board of Directors and their role in the NPO.
