Instructions

1. Review this week’s content /information about creating positive dramatic play and block learning experiences and centers for young children.
2. Create a list/shopping cart of materials to include in the dramatic play and block centers of your classroom.
3. Your list/shopping card should include 5 developmentally appropriate items to include in the dramatic play area and 5 different developmentally appropriate items to include in the block area for each of the following age groups:
   1. Infant
   2. Toddler
   3. Preschool
   4. Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten
4. Each item on your list/shopping cart must be divided by age groups and interest area (dramatic play & block) and include the following for each item:
   1. Dramatic Play
      • A picture of the item

    • Select, identify, and provide a brief explanation of which area and how the selected dramatic play related item will enhance children’s development.
