Topic: Respiratory Distress Syndrome

The Power Point Presentation
The purpose of the Power Point document is to supply the instructor with
the content of the material you wish to present. The Power Point document should
be 8-10 slides in length, roughly 5 -8 minutes long. The presentation should include
the following information:
 Title Page (1 slide)
Give a relevant title to your presentation. It should include the names
of all members, the class and term.
 Introduction (1-5 slides)
These slides names and explains the disease or disorder.
Should include:
signs and symptoms
Diagnosis
Treatments
Prognosis
If you are presenting over a technique or a non-disease topic, then you
should still have an explanation of the topic and any relevant
information about the topic.
Should include:
What is the topic
Why did it come about or response to
How does it affect the human body
The background information about the topic should have some sort of
statistical analysis of the topic and if it relates to the Rio Grande Valley
populations.
 Etiology or Causes of the disorder or disease should be included in the
presentation (1-2). If you have a more board topic that is not a
disease, then talk about why it came about. (e.x.: Diet Drinks – an
alternative to sugar rich drinks).
 Epidemiology – This slide should explain where the disease is found in
the world or country, any patterns that are notice or subgroup of
individuals it affects.
 Bibliography/References (1 page)
