The public hearings provide an opportunity for older persons, service providers and advocates to identify priority needs, recommend ways to enhance services, and suggest an agenda for legislative advocacy to DFTA and its Senior Advisory Council. I am a member of the Senior Advisory Council. The Department welcomes written and oral testimony on the Annual Plan Summary at the hearings. This input helps DFTA prepare its plan for upcoming fiscal years and enhance its long-term efforts on behalf of the City’s elderly.
