Each word/powerpoint document is a summary of each chapter of the book Influence. It is easier to go over the summaries and then go back to the book to cite.
Basically, the professor wants us to propose a solution to a problem (chosen from the problem list), using a Cialdiniâ€™s strategy to justify it.
There are 6 big categories of Cialdiniâ€™s strategies of persuasion: reciprocity, consistency, social proof, liking, scarcity (ignore this one, not helpful), and authority. Each is detailedly explained in a chapter. (Chapter 8 is more like a summary of all.)
For example, if I choose the problem of unhealthy diets of students, I can propose a solution based on Cialdiniâ€™s Principle of Social Proof. Solution is that the university can make a commonweal short film about diets, showing that many students eat healthily and are living happily. It should work because students will think itâ€™s correct to eat healthily since others are performing it, according to the principle. (Itâ€™s not a good one, though, just an example)
