You have a choice to staff a team of resources who will be dedicated (or allocated) 100% to the project, or staff a team of resources who will be dedicated (or allocated) three days each week to your project. Using information from the readings, explain how you can use either set of resources.

Hello and Class,

I can use both resources for the team because there are different parts of the project that require separate focuses. The 100% allocated will be the core part of the team where they are responsible for the foundation part of the build and the 3 days a week allocated create from the foundation. Because it is a system build it will take the 100% allocated more time to design the what portion will be needed and when, such as the amount of space required per computer and how many offices will have to have the supporting processors on the computer to install the software system once it is built. The 3 days a week will work on the information that will be stored, such as the programs and different profiles. They will work on collecting information and storing processes for when the foundation build is complete. Each will be responsible for making sure their portion is drafted for a mock set up before going live. The mock presentation helps to identify unforeseen areas of risk where we will have solutions or processes to get a resolution to a given situation. We can identify how to minimize the risk and the impact it will have on the end users and system. We can use the information from risk assessment to build a troubleshooting manual to assist end users as well, the 100% allocated will be able to study this once the foundation is complete while the 3 days a week team works on improving the performance of the system. After discovering the technical requirements for each user to have, testing the quality of the build will be next and will require both allocated teams.

Hello class, I think change is inevitable in every business. Consumers change over time. Their needs and wants drive them in different direction. For example, the food industry experiences constant changes in peoples food preferences so restaurants must constantly keep up with the latest trends in order to keep customers coming back. Another business that comes to mind is clothing. Fashion trends cycle seasonally. What you wore last summer may not be in this year. Stores that don’t change their stock with the trends risk being left behind and suffering a loss in profit. Have a great week.
