My name is Dana , I am currently a student at Florida State College at Jacksonville. I recently just got out of the US NAVY for 8 years as a ABF and I am trying to pursue my education (elaborate on how hard it is to focus on education and being a single mother.) I have two twin girls who are my inspiration and greatest accomplishment. Winning a scholarship will help provide for me and the girls but also will help me purchase a new laptop and study materials needed for my courses (elaborate on the importance of being able to provide for my family and receive a degree). Winning this scholarship will be a blessing because I have been struggling etc… I also volunteer on my free time, I have a passion for art and young children. upon receiving my degree i plan to continue volunteering my services to the community.I want my daughters to be pround and follow in my foot steps etc.
