Networking Prep: Your write-up will include the following. Identify and research 3 local associations related to your field/career path. Identify whom each organization serves and for what purposes, how to join, and if students can attend a meeting or event. Research on LinkedIn to find how you are connected to some of each group’s members. Pick one group and up for one local event/ meeting. In your write-up, note how you will get there, what attire is expected, what prep is needed, and two specific goals to achieve while attending this event. Application: Attend the event. Write up a summary of information researched, a summary of the experience on site, whether personal goals were achieved, and what to do differently next time.
