there sample calcium chloride some hydrous some anhydrous how do you find percent hydrous

There is a sample of calcium chloride. Some hydrous, some anhydrous. How do you find the percent that is hydrous given that 0.320 g of water evaporated from that sample with a mass of 2.015 g. Helpful info: 147.0140g = 1 mol CaCl2.2H2O 110.983 g = 1 mol CaCl2 This isn’t a homework question. We did a lab with what we though was hydrous calcium chloride and wasn’t all. This is for my bit about further investigations. Thanks

Consider the anecdote of “Elena” in your text book. Obviously, Elena’s mother prefers that her daughter participates in more feminine activities. What is your opinion? Do you think that young children should be guided toward gender specific toys? Why or why not?

Primary Discussion Response is due by Wednesday (11:59:59pm Central), Peer Responses are due by Sunday (11:59:59pm Central).

Primary Task Response: Within the Discussion Board area, write 300–500 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas, and comments. This will be the foundation for future discussions by your classmates. Be substantive and clear, and use examples to reinforce your ideas.

Interest groups play a significant role in contemporary American politics, on a wide range of public policy issues, from healthcare (Affordable Care Act, for example) to gun control (the NRA is a well-known example), and from financial services regulation to regulating food production.

For this discussion board, choose an interest group that appeals to you and then identify a public policy issue that your selected interest group is working on impacting. In addition, include the following information:

  • What types of activities are conducted by your interest group? Provide examples of activities undertaken by the group within the last 12 months. Activities can include lobbying, television or radio spots, media spots, rallies or other activities. Also, if available, provide links to any news articles about the organization’s activities or press releases from the organization or other articles from the organization’s website for your classmates’ reference.
  • How is your chosen interest group connected to the average citizen, if at all? Provide examples of average citizens’ involvement in your chosen interest group, if any. If your chosen interest group rarely or does not interact with the average citizen, please discuss how the work of your chosen interest group indirectly impacts the average citizen, if at all.
  • Do you believe that interest groups do, or have the ability to, promote corruption in government? Explain your position. If they do or have the potential to do so, why do you believe so? If not, what do you think prevents them from corrupting government? Support your position with specific examples.

final film critique 1

Final Film Critique

Review the critical analysis questions in the “Conclusion and Critic’s Resource” section of your textbook. Write an eight to ten page film critique (excluding the cover and reference pages) of an American feature film of your choosing. Use the list of critical analysis questions provided in your textbook as a guide while writing your paper.

Areas that must be covered:

  • Storytelling
  • Acting
  • Cinematography
  • Editing
  • Sound
  • Style and Directing
  • Impact of society on the film and vice versa
  • Genre
  • Application of at least one approach to analysis and interpretation
  • Overall textual themes

Writing Tips:

  • Students must select a film that they have not previously explored in class, either in written assignments or discussion posts.
  • Students must establish a coherent thesis statement in the introduction of their paper with a claim that they intend to prove. The body of the essay serves to support the thesis through an analysis of the film and other relevant material.  Avoid simply rehashing descriptive material from other source.
  • Support your thesis through textual and formal analysis. Refer to specific shots, scenes, characters, stylistic devices, and themes in the film.
  • As much as possible, use technical, literary and industry terms to make your points.
  • If needed, you may use additional resources to support your claims. Suggested sources might include academic books and articles; film reviews; and personal opinions from reputable film critics and scholars. Information other than production details obtained from popular sources such as The Internet Movie Database and Wikipedia is not considered reputable.
  • Only use plot information to support the thematic points of the paper. Include only one to two sentences of plot summary when explaining each of the required filmic elements.
  • Also, students should not choose a film that the authors of the textbook have analyzed in detail.
