Discuss the two or more films from the list provided. As experimental films, these works deviate from the narrative storytelling that we have been seeing the last few weeks. Texture, color, light, the celluloid/nitrate material, the camera function, the disjunction between image and sound become the narrative.

Analyze these experimental work and how the use of color, narrative structure, sound / silence, editing techniques, tempo, rhythm, etc. are employed to tell the narrative. You might compare the films with each other in each grouping, but also consider the other films you have seen this semester. See if you can trace some of the experimental approaches that the earlier works embraced, and consider how they may have similar or dissimilar approaches.
