Corporate communication skills Sample Assignment You are going for an interview. In the interview, you are going to present yourself through 3 separate tasks: a short presentation that demonstrates your knowledge about business communication (see task 1 below) further evidence that you are able to communicate orally in a competent manner (task 2) evidence to test your writing skills. Making communication effective An outline of the principles of effective communication. Extension activities: To gain a merit grade your presentation must also: propose solutions to the barriers of communication. To gain a distinction grade you must produce a handout to accompany the presentation which has: an analysis of the effectiveness of communication models and systems used in specific businesses use appropriate animations and transitions and different tools of PowerPoint in order to make your presentation more effective and efficient. Task 2 – Oral communication Throughout your interview, you will be assessed on your communication skills and the interview panel wants to know how you communicate with different people. Answer the following questions that you will be asked during the interview: 1-Introduce yourself with clear presentation of your strength and weak points 2-What could you offer for the company? 3- You are asked to role play a response to an irate customer who has not received the promised delivery, as she took holiday from work.
